ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni is an action game, telling the story of a warrior preparing for the final battle with his arch-enemy. It was developed by Kenei Design and Shueisha Games, and was published by Clouded Leopard Entertainment.

Plot

ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni takes us on a journey to the island of Kisejima, inhabited by the spirits of warriors who were once defeated in battle by the powerful and evil Momotaro. The sole survivor of that clash, Kuuta, arrives on Kisejima to challenge the spirits and seize their power, and thus gain the strength to confront Momotaro. The protagonist is not doomed to cross alone, as he is ed by one of the spirits living on the island - Kazemaru.

Mechanics

In ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The relatively small game world has been divided into three areas. Wandering through the meadows and forests of Kisejima, we complete various tasks and face various opponents, among whom powerful bosses are leading the way. Clashes are dynamic, and during them Kuuta makes use of his mace. However, in order to achieve final victory over the enemy, Kuuta must the baton to his companion - Kazemaru - who sucks the spirit out of the defeated enemy.

As we progress, we develop the protagonist and acquire increasingly powerful machetes, which we pay for with mushrooms found along the way. This allows us to face more and more powerful adversaries over time, step by step approaching Kuuta's ultimate goal.
