Onitama

Onitama is a board game created by Arcane Wonders, prepared with two players in mind. We play the role of a monk who is a master of a monastery, and our task is to defeat our rival. Asmodee Digital is responsible for creating the digital conversion.

Mechanics

Each player directs the movements of 5 characters – including the champion representing them. The game takes place in rounds, on a 25 squares field of play. The condition of victory is to beat the opposing team's champion or to take the opponent's throne. Before the game starts, each player receives two random cards, which allow him/her to make specific movements. An additional card is also drawn in each game. When one of them is played, the player receives the overprogrammed one. Simultaneously with the stack, the used card is placed. This diagram shall be repeated until the end of the batch.
