Dynamic first person view shooter. We receive a mission to investigate the situation of one of the earthly colonies with which has been lost. On a foreign planet we have to face a race of worm-like aliens.
Onslaught is a dynamic action game in which we have to face huge worms on one of the foreign planets. The title was created and released by Hudson Soft, a company operating on the market since 1973 and known for its many classic hits (Bomberman, Tengai Makyou series).
In the game we are sent to the colonial planet HS-0204 to explain the reasons for the broken communication with the local research centre. Unfortunately, it turns out on the spot that the problems do not result from technical failure, but from an attack by aliens, i.e. a breed of cyborgs resembling extremely large insects. Of course, we have to deal with hordes of pupae, using different weapons and capabilities. On our way we will meet many different types of enemies: caterpillars, dragonflies, beetles and others.
The title is ed by Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, of course, with which we target opponents, shoot, reload magazines and throw grenades. Before each mission, we also hear a brief introduction to the situation. With each level and location our enemies grow in strength (literally becoming larger), but in this way we get new, more powerful weapons.
We have at our disposal many interesting tools for sowing destruction, among which the basis are: assault rifle, rocket launcher and energetic whip, used to fight from a short distance. We can also use several combat machines and vehicles, making it much easier to send monsters where they came from. In addition, the authors have prepared many tastes and curiosities, such as the need to wipe the helmet from the green blood of the worms and to shake off the enemies attacking us.
An interesting feature is the option of playing online in cooperative mode, in which up to four players can meet each other. This, of course, adds variety to the fun, while at the same time making it easier to defeat the huge masses of enemies. In addition, there is also the ability to compete with other s by earning as many points on special levels as possible. The game offers interesting three-dimensional graphics and thrilling music.
