Open Season is a family action-adventure game based on an animated film of the same title, created by Sony Pictures Animation. Open Season tells the story of a domesticated grizzly bear Boog and a stubborn, one-horned deer Elliot. The two are trying to survive in the forest during a hunting season.
The game lets you play as either of the two heroes and meet all the characters known from the movie, e.g. the park ranger Beth, and the poacher Shaw. In his adventures, Boog makes friends, who help him scare off hunters. Rabbits can stun an opponent by jumping on his head, skunks serve as real stinky bombs, whereas squirrels are excellent nut throwers. Apart from the traditional action-adventure gameplay, the game features fast-paced missions, such as rolling down the slope on a snow ball, swimming down the river on a wooden roof, or speeding through mine tunnels in a rail cart.
Besides, the game lets you challenge other players in a selection of mini-games. All this is seasoned with a large dose of humor typical of such productions, and colorful 3D graphics.
