An RTS game inspired by the Warcraft series. In Orc Warchief we visit a fantasy world where the orcs lost the war with humans. We lead one of the orc tribes, expanding our village, creating an orc army and planning a revenge on the humans and reclaiming power.

Orc Warchief is a real-time strategy in which we lead a tribe of orcs. The game is the work of an independent team Iron Wolf Studio.

Plot

The action of this RTS takes place in a fantasy land where the human race managed to defeat the proud orc tribes and put them on the defensive. Defeat in the Great War divided the bloodthirsty warriors, but many of them still burn with a desire for revenge. We play the role of one of the young commanders in the game. The protagonist wants to rebuild the power of the orcs in order to go into battle with new strength.

Gameplay

Orc Warchief is a classic strategy game with gameplay based on expanding the village and managing civilian units or soldiers. We start the development of the orc tribe by setting up simple huts, as well as cabins intended for lumberjacks, hunters or pig breeders. Next, we create specialized buildings, including mines, steelworks, breweries, taverns or a shaman's residence. Their output often depends on how many tribe we delegate to work in a given facility.

Apart from the expansion of the village, in Orc Warchief we are also trying to increase our reputation in order to attract new orcs and grow stronger. We create improvements that increase the effectiveness of our units in combat. We also produce combat machines, ing units on the battlefield, during attacks on caravans or when attacking human settlements.

While commanding a tribe, we face random events with several available solutions. Some of them concern internal problems (like the theft of food), while others may be about possible threats (including with people). Our decisions can affect the settlement or the morale of the orcs.
