Outpath

Outpath is a sandbox game difficult to qualify as a specific genre. It combines simulation mechanics with crafting and RPG elements. It was created by an indie developer David Moralejo Sanchez, who was inspired by such games as Minecraft.

Mechanics

Outpath is a first-person game set on freely traversible islands. The player must gather resources (ranging from wood to various minerals), use them to craft equipment (like pickaxes and bows), construct buildings and devices. The latter are extremely important, as they let us automate certain processes.
