Paradise Lost is a first-person adventure game with puzzle elements, in which we have the opportunity to influence the future and present of the world, where World War II is not over and the Nazis carry out a nuclear attack destroying Poland.
Paradise Lost is an adventure game that presents the alternative world history after World War II. The game focuses on a boy struggling with loss, discovering the mystery of the Nazi bunker and decisions that could change the fate of humanity. The game was created by the Polish studio PolyAmorous, and was released by All in! Games known for their games such as Tools Up!.
The action takes place in an alternative world in which, after 20 years of World War II, the Nazis carry out a nuclear attack on Europe, including Poland occupied for two decades. There's practically nothing left of it but ruins. In such circumstances, we take the role of a 12-year-old boy, who together with his mother managed to survive. Travelling through the Polish wilderness, we come across a forgotten German bunker, and in it - a mixture of technological boom and Slavic folklore. By visiting and learning about the history of the bunker and its inhabitants, we have the opportunity to make decisions that may or may not change the fate of humanity.
In Paradise Lost, we explore the bunker rooms, where we can interact with many objects that bring us closer to the lives of the people who lived there before. Here you will find various notes or mysterious technological inventions, the use of which requires their manual activation. There are also puzzles, because a lot of equipment or objects require us to click and manoeuvre them in an appropriate way, which takes the form of unusual riddles.
While playing, we focus primarily on the plot, which has a lot of space to make decisions and depending on them we can experience one of the several endings available in the game.
Paradise Lost has a fully three-dimensional and realistic graphic design combined with a sublime and melancholy soundtrack.

Video Chums: 4 / 5 by A.J. Maciejewski
If you're in the mood for a tense first-person narrative, turn the lights down and play Paradise Lost; it's a true atmospheric gem.
COGconnected: 52 / 100 by Erin Castillo
The pace of the game is slow, there isn’t a whole lot of depth to be found anywhere in Paradise Lost, and it’s not without its frame rate drops and bugs either. Don’t get me wrong, there are certainly some diamonds to be found in the rough here, but they’re few and far between. What Paradise Lost does deliver on is a minimally interactive experience as more of a walking simulator than an alternate history first-player adventure game. And it does look and sound exactly as you’d expect if you were to find yourself as a 12-year-old boy, trapped in a desolate Nazi bunker. Overall there’s just a lot of potential left untapped and that’s really its biggest problem.
Jump Dash Roll: 7 / 10 by Jesse Gregoire
A cerebrally enjoyable journey for those that fall in a specific history and story-loving niche, Paradise Lost is otherwise barebones in mechanics and gameplay.
