Inevitable Excess is the first big expansion for the classic isometric RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. It introduces a new story thread, independent of the main campaign and taking place before it.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Inevitable Excess is the first big expansion for the 2021 classic isometric RPG. It introduces a new plot thread to the game, the action of which takes place before the events of the main campaign. It was developed by the Russian independent studio Owlcat Games.
In Inevitable Excess we respond to the call of Valmallos, a powerful being from another dimension who understands all the laws of magic and makes sure that it doesn't fall into the hands of those who can't use it well enough. He is determined, with our help, to neutralize the danger to the universe, which are the emerging anomalies in reality, caused by the intentional actions of a group of hostile beings. To do that we leave Golarion and go to Axis to explore its secrets and face various dangers.
New story thread is an adventure taking place independently from the main campaign and provides entertainment for about seven or eight hours. For the purposes of the game we can import a character from the basic version of the game or create a new one, but it will also start from a high level - ordinary and mythical. After completing the campaign we will unlock new powers for our hero in the main adventure.
Basic mechanics do not differ from those in the basic version of the game - we control a group of heroes, including a character created by ourselves, and we explore locations, perform missions that often require fighting and solving puzzles. On our way we meet new opponents.
The add-on is not standalone, so it requires the basic version of the game to work.
