Pathologic 2: Marble Nest is a story add-on to Pathologic 2, a survival action-adventure game developed by Ice-Pick Lodge. Originally the title was a demo for players who ed the game on Kickstarter, but the improved version was later made available to a wider audience.

Plot

The story shown in Pathologic 2: Marble Nest features one day in the life of Daniil Dankovsky, a scientist and pathologist, whom we had the opportunity to meet in the base game and who was one of the protagonists of the original Pathologic from 2005. The expansion features an independent story written especially for Marble Nest.

The plague has already taken over almost the entire city; due to our strict quarantine, only two districts remained relatively safe. Unfortunately, we find out that the plague took its root even here. We only have 24 hours to find and destroy it - otherwise everything will be lost.

Mechanics

Mechanics in Pathologic 2: Marble Nest are no different than in the base game. Players can explore the area of two districts of the city freely, searching for the necessary items for survival, chatting with NPCs and fighting. However, the level of difficulty associated with survival mechanics has been slightly reduced, so that more attention can be paid to the plot.

Time also plays an important role in the adventure. Life in the city goes on independently from the player and some events may miss us if we don't arrive in time.
