Paws: A Shelter 2 Game

Mechanics

In of mechanics, Paws combines the unique features of the Shelter simulation series with elements of adventure and platform games. This time, however, we play the role not of an adult animal, but of a small cub, while the game, instead of sandbox freedom of action, is based on a linear plot. At the same time, for the first time in the history of the series, we have two heroes at our disposal, who can each other in solving puzzles and avoiding various traps. Compared to the main game, the action is observed from third-person perspective, and in the game, there are also new abilities, such as tracking using animal senses.

Technical aspects

Paws: A Shelter 2 Game is based entirely on the world created for Shelter 2 and operates with the same unique visuals as the original. In the game we move through a vast, completely three-dimensional world, created using slightly outdated vector graphics, which in combination with considerable amount of details of the world may evoke associations with e.g. impressionistic paintings. In the music layer, we are dealing with a completely new soundtrack, prepared again by the Swedish band Retro Family.
