A puzzle game in which our task is to paint the fields of diagrams in such a way as to create pixeled drawings. Like the previous parts of the series, Picross S3 was based on the principles of the puzzle known as "painting by numbers".
Picross S3 is the third installment in the popular Picross series, designed for Nintendo Switch. The series comprises logical games based on the rules of a puzzle created by Non Ishida, known as "painting by numbers". All the games in the series were developed by Jupiter Corporation.
In Picross S3 players must paint the diagram fields in such a way that they form pixeled drawings. The numbers visible on the sides of the board and above indicate how many fields in a row or column must be filled to solve the puzzle.
The game consists of 480 puzzles, which were prepared with four variants in mind. In addition to the previously known Picross, Mega Picross and Clip Picross modules (where the drawings we create are part of a larger puzzler), the Color Picross mode is waiting for players to check out. As the name of the latter suggests, specific fields are filled with specific colours.
One can play Picross S3 alone or with another person.
Just like its predecessors, Picross S3 has simple, two-dimensional visuals. During the game, players are accompanied by calm and relaxing soundtrack.
