Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned is an action game with RPG elements, focusing on the adventures of pirates and taking the players to the universe known from the film series Pirates of the Caribbean. The game was created by Propaganda Games, the studio responsible for Turok.
The plot of the title takes place many years before the story known from the movie trilogy, so we do not play any of the main characters from the films. There are, however, a few well-known characters and motifs in the game. The player controls the character of a young pirate who travels the large, open world of the Caribbean (by land and water) and discovers successive events of a completely new, amazing story. Just like in the movies, also the game features fantastic events.
The work of Propaganda Games contains many RPG elements. Although the players can't create their own original protagonist, the option of developing the main character and modifying their statistics appears. To some extent we can also influence their appearance. We are often forced to make moral choices and engage in extensive dialogues. While playing, of course, we meet a lot of opponents, which we fight both on land and water. The main character can attack, parry and use special skills.
