Planetbase 2 is a sequel of the science fiction city builder strategy titled Dawn of Man.

Gameplay

In Planetbase 2 we watch the events from a bird's eye view.

Colonization of the Solar System

Similar to the previous game under this brand, we end up in the future. The game allows us to build an extraterrestrial colony from scratch. We can choose Moon and Mars, as well as the satellites of Jupiter and Saturn. Given that individual globes differ from each other in of prevailing conditions, we have to face different challenges on each of them.

Resources, technology and industry

To establish a thriving outpost, we must first and foremost gather natural resources, such as regolith or metals present on a given celestial body, and also develop technology that allows for energy production. Initially the main energy sources are the Sun and wind, but conducting research may give us access to nuclear power plants and other technologies. The manufacturing industry also plays an important role, as it can make our colony fully self-sufficient.

People, robots and machines

All of this would not be possible without people fulfilling their duties for the sake of the colony. The work of colonists can be largely automated thanks to the systems built into the game (although we can also engage in micromanagement). They can also be made more efficient by providing them with vehicles and robots.
