Release Date: December 19, 2017
A 2D arcade title, in which you need to cut off pieces of levels with enemies on them. The game offers a campaign composed of 60 levels.
Desert Owl Games is a small studio with a number of successful projects, like a card game The Huntsman: Winter’s Curse. Plox Neon is their another, arcade project.
The rules are simple. You control a colourful, ball-shaped entity, which leaves marks as it goes. In this way, you select fragments of levels that you want to get rid of, together with enemies on them. However, gameplay of Neon Plox is much more complex than it would seem, because opponents – initially sluggish and predictable – are constantly replaced with their more and more demanding incarnations. Some of them are chaotic, some are fast, other are long, which makes them difficult to avoid. Each with an enemy results in an immediate death. Also, the hero is outnumbered, so the player needs to destroy enemies and elements of levels patiently, piece by piece.
Plox Neon for PC, AND and etc. does not offer anything apart from the single-player campaign consisting of 60 levels. There is no multiplayer or any additional game modes, but the game features world rankings.
The game is inspired by classic games, so it looks and sounds just like the titles from the ‘80s.
