Potion Explosion, released on PC, AND and iOS, is a puzzle game. It was developed by Clangore studio and released by Asmodee Digital. It is a product meaning it has no microtransactions.

Plot

The project is a digital adaptation of Potion Explosion, a popular board game by Horrible Games. The game takes us to a school known as the Horribilorum Sorcery Academy, and the whole game revolves around elixir brewing lessons. We play as a student who is just beginning their studies in this field. Initially, we have to make the simplest potions, but once we have mastered them, we start to get more and more complicated recipes.

Mechanics

In Potion Explosion, elixir brewing was realized in the form of a logical game. As part of this, we must carefully follow the rules, choosing the right ingredients from among the masses thrown on the board. Removing one of them causes all of the ingredients to fall one row down, changing the arrangement of the whole. However, if two or more of the same type come into with each other, this will result in an explosion, but will not damage the components that cause it - they are still transported to the potion container.

The game is made difficult by the fact that we have a limited amount of space in the tank in which we mix the elixir. All the fun revolves around planning chain reactions carefully.

Game modes

Potion Explosion allows you to play alone against artificial intelligence, where you can choose your opponent from three characters with different skill levels and gameplay styles. The game also has a multiplayer option, providing an opportunity to face players from all over the world. The results are displayed in constantly updated online rankings.
