Release Date: cancelled
A cancelled third-person action adventure game. Prince of Persia: Redemption was planned to be developed by Ubisoft Montreal, but the publisher never gave a green light to this project. The game was supposed to rely on inspirations from earlier PoP games, as well as from Assassin's Creed and God of War series.
Prince of Persia: Redemption is the title of an action adventure game, with the initiative to create which Ubisoft Montreal studio came out after the release of Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands. Ultimately, the project did not receive the green light from the series' publisher, Ubisoft.
In Prince of Persia: Redemption, the action was to be viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The production would allow us to take on the role of the titular Prince of Persia, and the gameplay scheme, on which it would be based, would bring to mind not only earlier positions under this banner, but also the God of War series.
We would be traversing fantastic locations, overcoming terrain obstacles in a skillful, parkour way, as well as fighting dynamic battles with enemies. On the battlefield we would use not only white weapons, but also the supernatural powers of the protagonist, who could teleport, turn back time, and directly attack the souls of enemies, emptying their life bars. In addition to ranked opponents, powerful bosses of impressive size would also stand in our way.
All this would be complemented by spectacular, scripted events in which we would take part.
