PUBG: New State is a battle royale online shooter that uses a free-to-play model with micropayments. The game is a mobile spin-off of the popular PUBG Mobile, other studios, which are part of the Tencent corporation, were responsible for the development.
The game is set in a science fiction setting in 2051, which provides players with access to many futuristic toys. In addition, the game develops the story background of the entire brand, so fans of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds can find in PUBG: New State many answers to questions about the future of their favourite universe.
The game was designed to be more than just another rendition of the PC original. The developers' goal was to return to the roots of the battle royale genre and provide newcomers with a game that serves as a good introduction to the category.
During the game we observe the events from a standard camera placed behind the character's back, although it is also possible to turn on the FPP view. The rules of the game are classic for the battle royale genre - players are dropped from a plane on an island without any weapons; they have to choose the landing spot and immediately start looking for guns. They then hunt down other s until only one person is left alive. The gameplay is varied by a large selection of vehicles.
In comparison to Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, the game stands out for several elements. Thanks to setting the action in 2051 during the fight we use futuristic weapons, drones and gadgets such as energy shields. Moreover, we can modify and upgrade our weapons during the matches themselves.
An additional attraction is a completely new map called Troy, not based on any location that appeared in previous games from the brand.
