Puffpals: Island Skies is a cross between an adventure game and a life sim, developed by an indie studio Fluffnest. The company started off producing plushies, the titular Puffpals, before expanding into creating a video game about them. The project was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter.

Plot

Puffpals: Island Skies is set on the titular Island Skies, inhabited by Puffpals plushies. Our character must traverse this colorful world, meet its inhabitants, learn secrets, living a peaceful yet adventurous life.

Mechanics

Puffpals: Island Skies makes use of the top-down perspective. We start off creating our character, determining their gender and appearance.

The game's world is vast and divided into various locations. Its heart is the City Center, serving as a hub. As we travel through the land, we meet its inhabitants, all of whom have unique personalities and preferences. By talking to them, we learn more about them, complete quests, help them with their problems and play mini-games with them. The world is full of secrets to discover and collectibles to find. Said collectibles include artifacts, mushrooms and gems.

We can spend our downtime in our home, which we can customize to our needs and preferences, both the outside and the inside. We can also start farming or gardening if we so desire.
