Quarantine Circular is an adventure game, referring to classic paragraph games, but also using the benefits of a modern dialogue system. The production was designed to be completed in one evening and offers an interesting and thought-provoking story. It was created by the independent studio Bithell Games (known for Thomas Was Alone and Subsurface Circular).
A pandemic of a dangerous disease breaks out in the world. A group of scientists discover that an Alien may be associated with the matter. Is this really the case? What does the creature do on Earth? The player is given the task of solving the puzzle and discovering the true intentions of the alien.
Quarantine Circular is based on very simple premise. By playing we don't directly control any character - instead, the game is about watching what's going on the screen, reading the text and making choices that shape the rest of the story - and the creators have set themselves the goal of increasing their weight. The production thus resembles the visual novel genre.
Quarantine Circular can only be played solo.
Quarantine Circular features unusual visuals, which consists of professionally made illustrations, animated scenes and text windows. The game refers to the atmosphere and artistic style of numerous science fiction works. The game is accompanied by a soundtrack by Dan Le Sac.
