RAID: World War II is a cooperative first person shooter set in the realities of World War II, which was created in the Croatian studio Lion Game Lion (co-created by Ilija Petrusic, PayDay 2).
Story
In RAID: World War II on the PC, PS4 and XONE platforms, players take on the role of four prisoners of war (representing different nationalities: British, German, American and Russian), released by a mysterious agent of British special services hiding under the code name "Mr. White". The spy decides to use the skills of our protagonists to spoil the blood and make life difficult for the Nazis through sabotage, murder and spectacular theft. All five will not rest until Europe is saved and Hitler's regime is in ruins.
Mechanics
RAID: World War II is a cooperative action game, in which we observe the world from the perspective of the first person. Players can choose from four character classes: Recon, Assault, Insurgent and Demolitions. Each of them has an extensive tree of development and a special ability - the so-called War Cry (battle cry), which provides specific bonuses to the team, while weakening the opponents. RAID: World War II gameplay on PC, PS4 and XONE strongly resembles that of the PayDay series.
The production offers players the opportunity to go through the campaign and then repeat their favourite fragments, expanded and enriched with additional challenges within the so-called Operations Mode. In addition, for the completion of the mission we receive special cards, which can be used to change the detailed rules governing a given mission, which means that the same scenario played twice in a row can be a significantly different experience.
Technical issues
The PC, PS4 and XONE versions of this title have an eye-catching design. The locations in the game are based on real places known for their war-ravaged Europe.
