Railroader is a train-focused simulation game, in which we can play as a train driver, dispatcher and railway manager. It was developed by Giraffe Lab.
Railroader is set in North America, in the Appalachian Mountains. The gameplay consists of three main layers. The first is driving an antique train and driving it along beautiful Appalachian railroads. By transporting engers and dropping them off at various stations, as well as moving goods, we earn money we can spend on purchasing new locomotives or wagons. The player can also hire AI-controller drivers to automate some processes.
That's not all, as there are also some economic strategy elements, letting us play as a manager g contracts to transport people or goods, investing funds into expanding and modernizing the railroad. The third layer is playing as a dispatcher, operating a complex device used to direct trains.
Railroader s singleplayer and online multiplayer. There are many extensive tutorials to help newcomers learn the mechanics.
Railroader features decent graphics. Though overall the game doesn't look particularly impressive, especially the poorly detailed surroundings, the locomotives are meticulously designed and are rather appealing.
