Rayman Arena is another installment in the well-known family platformer series. The biggest news is the introduction of multiplayer mode for up to four players. There are two game modes available: race and battle. The former focuses on beating a level before your opponents, while in the latter we fight them using the available weapons and special skills granted by collectable bonuses. We may also heal up with med kits.

We may assume the role of one of eight characters: Rayman, Globox, Tinsies, Pirate Henchman, Razorbeard, Razorwife, Henchmen, Tily. Each of these characters has a different set of skills and traits. They may run, jump, catch, fly, and shoot, among others things. In total, the game offers 12 different arenas for the battle mode and 12 racing tracks for the race mode. Rayman Arena allows up to four players to compete online or in split-screen.
