A continuation to a casual platform game Rayman Jungle Run, which was a mobile-devices-oriented spin-off of a popular series, originated in 1995 by Ubisoft. Similarly to its predecessor, the game first debuted on mobile devices running on iOS and Android, and then was ported to PC.

General gameplay mechanics stayed unchanged. Rayman Fiesta Run is a typical representative of the so-called endless runners genre, where the character always moves to the right, and the player’s role boils down to performing certain actions, such as jumping over obstacles, climbing at walls, or evading opponents. The goal is not only to reach the finishing line, but also collect a set number of Lums on the way, which make a sort of local in-game currency. In contrast to the first game, here game levels are not divided into jumping- and running-oriented. The hero has to be able to effectively use all his abilities right from the start, which may be a difficulty for the beginners.
