The planet created by Divine’s mind is a very dangerous place; determined to not allow us get further than we already are. This unusual living being was divided into two zones – neutral and dark. The first zone is located on the top of the Planet and near dungeon entrances, while the second one is strong in the presence of powerful bosses. Fortunately, Divine is armed with special abilities, enabling her to stay undetected by the Planet, as well as counter her opponents in case of detection.

The heroine has a special instrument that alarms her if she is on the verge of detection. Staying hidden is highly recommended, as once the planet learns the exact location of our heroin, the gameplay becomes much more difficult – the area becomes quarantined, the enemies grow in numbers and are more aggressive, while every door is closed shut. In such case, only solution left is to retrace our steps and leave the zone, which clears its status.

Moreover, Divine can divide herself into two separate entities – Nar (Rage) and Son (Fear). In her normal state, the heroine is an experienced martial arts practitioner and has access to useful spells. As Nar, her strength and speed grows immensely, while her spells are endowed with the fire element. However, this incarnation is very noisy and easily spotted by the Planet. On the other hand, Son can utilize ice spells and enter dark zones undetected. Moreover, he can take over his enemies’ minds, enabling him to access locations that were previously unavailable.

The gameplay in Red Goddess: Inner World sees us use all the abilities and proceed through numerous levels, all the while fighting against various figments of Divine’s mind. The action is seen from a two-dimensional perspective.
