Remington Super Slam Hunting: Alaska is the third installment of a series of arcade first person perspective shooting (FPP). The player plays the role of a hunter and takes part in exciting hunts for animals inhabiting the virtual Alaska. The title was produced by Jack of All Games studio and is licensed by a well-known American weapon manufacturer.
Remington Super Slam Hunting: Alaska, released on PC and Wii, is the third game in the series developed by Jack of All Games studio and published by Mastiff. Following the earlier versions of the series, the production is using Remington's logo, which allowed the creators to implement detailed models of authentic guns, shotguns and rifles.
According to the title, players have the opportunity to take part in hunting in the wildest state of the USA - Alaska. Hunters can stand eye to eye with 25 species of virtual animals - from calm caribou, through dangerous wolves and furious elk, to deadly grizzly bears.
The game combines elements of arcade shooting and realistic hunting simulation. Players have at their disposal an arsenal covering the whole spectrum of hunting weapons manufactured by Remington (including the 1894 Marlin rifle, R-25 rifle and 700 XCR II Camo sniper), as well as several types of bows and several hunting accessories (binoculars, telescopes, etc.).
The developers prepared 19 levels in the picturesque scenery of Alaska. The available play modes offer the possibility of playing solo or in a four-player multiplayer (with options of cooperation and rivalry between players). The best results are rewarded with more than a hundred types of trophies and entries on the online scoreboard.
The visuals of Remington Super Slam Hunting: Alaska don't differ in quality from previous RSSH games. The three-dimensional graphics don't impress with realism and details, which, however, does not interfere with the exciting and dynamic gameplay.
