Reserve Dogs is a team tactical game produced by Nekrosoft. Players are in charge of a mercenary troop that deals with leading figures on the Polish political scene, the media, and even movie stars and celebrities. Due to the very derisive approach to the topic, the title aroused considerable controversy.
On the face of it we play a lot: we command a troop of mercenaries, each of which has its own coefficients and skills, we can equip them with various weapons and equipment, all this in a series of missions against increasingly difficult opponents. Huge controversies, so as not to say a scandal, accompanying the premiere show the second bottom of the game.
Because the action does not take place in some imaginary country, but in contemporary Poland, the authors took advantage of the opportunity to ridicule everything that is serious in our Polish reality: politics and politicians (and not in general, but specific people and groups), the media, well-known figures from the world of film and entertainment and competition. Our "heroes" are pushing the ashes and drinking water before the action, the gangsters are protected by the selling policemen, and the best relaxation between missions is paid sex.
If we add to this a parody of well-known films and games, we get an explosive mixture, which for some is extremely funny, for others simply unpalatable. Unfortunately, the game did not avoid many serious stumbles, from the rather sloppy graphics to the gigantic hardware requirements needed for a relatively comfortable gameplay.
