Richard & Alice

Richard & Alice is a two-dimensional independent adventure production, created by a small development team set up by game reviewers, also known for titles such as Sepulchre, Location Services and Masked. Richard & Alice was the debut of this studio, which places the greatest emphasis on the storyline in its projects.

The story presented in the game tells the story of two title characters who are locked up in a prison in a part of the world where snow is constantly falling. Contrary to appearances, this is one of the safest harbors on Earth - people have to struggle with difficulties, the world is falling, and where there is no snow, there is an endless desert, in which there is no way to look for a living soul. Richard and Alice are in opposite directions, trying to get to know each other better. During the game we get to know details about the past of both protagonists - both from dialogues and playable flashbacks, which are interwoven with scenes from prison. The moving, almost depressing plot about family, survival and despair was inspired, for example, by the postapocalyptic vision of the world presented in Cormac McCarthy's Way.
