Riftforge is an online turn-based RPG game by Riftforge Entertainment. The developer used his own engine, thanks to which it is possible to play on a number of platforms with Internet access. From PCs and Macs to mobile devices running on iOS and Android.
The action takes place in the fictional world of Manirak, in which two great empires fight for power. The area of activity is huge and is divided into small villages and larger metropolises. All the places are inhabited by different tribes, which are engaged in fierce battles between themselves. A total of 81 arenas located in 9 war zones have been made available to players.
The game begins with the construction of a base from which we set out on missions and manage the wards. Our teams consist of a commander and subordinate soldiers. Commanders are divided into three types: Guardians, Rangers and Raiders. Each of them has different features, specialties, abilities, subordinates, as well as equipment.
The Guardian is perfect for defense and short circuit attacks that deal great damage, but also make the player an easy "game". Raider has the ability to attack with surprise, escape and hide. Ranger is a champion in distance combat. As we achieve success, we gain access to better and better weapons, armour and skills. At the same time skirmishes become more difficult and demanding.
The fictitious doctrine of Triad, which describes how to arrange formation and plan attacks, is the basis for fighting. The Guardians Commander, together with his subordinates, is the centre of the army, which serves for both attack and defense. The Raiders are designed for flanking and fast movement, while the Rangers protect against enemy attacks coming from the side of the column. Those who play in cooperation should cooperate in this way, providing for themselves.
The title places a strong emphasis on the social aspect, allowing players to communicate, trade, perform common missions and fight for influence in the Manirak world.
Graphic design is a combination of pixeled style with isometric view, with animations based on Flash technology.
