Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds is a spin-off of the Risk of Rain series, a twin-stick shooter with RPG and roguelike elements. It's a free-to-play game with microtransactions, developed by Frima Studio and published by Gearbox Publishing.
Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds is set in the Versanto System. Playing as various characters, we traverse this dangerous area, facing many threats and learning about the events that took place here in the past.
Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds is an isometric game. The playable roster consists of multiple characters with diverse classes, weapons and skills. The player must traverse various areas and dispatch hordes of enemies, using many different weapons and abilities. We can choose three playable characters and switch between them at any time. This lets us chain their attacks into effective combos and make good use of their skills and strengths.
As we progress, we unlock more heroes and gather better gear. Equipment is randomly generated, making each weapon unique.
Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds features a singleplayer story campaign and co-op for up to four people.
Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds makes use of a simple, though colorful, appealing artstyle.
