A brutal motorcycle racing game and a spiritual successor to the legendary Road Rash that debuted in 1991 on Sega Mega Drive. It was developed by DarkSeas Games, an American studio established by experienced developers. In the game, we assume the role of a criminal who has been recently released from prison and has to regain his former position in a motorcycle gang.
Road Redemption for PC, PS4 and XONE is a brutal racing game developed by DarkSeas Games as a spiritual successor to the Road Rash series.
In the story campaign, we assume the role of a criminal who has been released from prison after eight years and has to rebuild his position in a motorcycle gang. As the plot progresses, it quickly turns out that some of our former friends go against the organization and can even be responsible for the imprisonment of the protagonist. The player’s decisions and actions will shape the course of the entire story and lead to one of the alternative endings.
Road Redemption for PC, PS4 and XONE offers a wide variety of challenges; these include the so-called combat races which involve fighting others gangs over territory and smuggling routes. Once we have weakened a given gang, we will also hunt its leader. Other available kinds of missions include escaping a police pursuit, robbing a convoy of huge trucks, ambushing (killing as many enemies as possible before they reach their destination), and escaping cities overrun by hostile gangs.
Among the available weapons we may find all sorts of firearms, chains, bats, machetes, samurai swords, axes, Molotov cocktails, and grenades.
All of the above can be used in both the story campaign as well as multiplayer matches. The latter offer a number of different modes, some of which are based on reworked rules of the single player missions.
