The largest novelty which distinguishes Rock Band VR from the main installments is obviously the of Virtual Reality goggles. Subsequent performances are viewed here from the first-person perspective. Apart from that, however, the Rock Band gameplay formula remains unchanged.

Rock Band VR is a spin-off of an extremely popular music series released on PC. The fourth full-fledged part, Rock Band 4, debuted on eighth generation consoles in October 2015. The game was made by the genre's veterans, Harmonix Music Systems, the developers of all the previous games from this series, as well as the first two parts of Guitar Hero series, which is currently developed by the FreeStyle and published by Activision.

Mechanics

In of mechanics, the game uses the proven solutions. At the same time, however, we are dealing with a completely unique product, designed to work with augmented reality sets (Oculus Rift). The main difference in comparison with the full-fledged parts of the series is the fact that during the game we observe our performances from the first-person perspective through the mentioned VR goggles. It is also worth noting that of DragonForce, a British power metal band, were invited to work on the game and its promotion.
