Mechanics

ROM: Extraction's gameplay focus on fast-paced battles with aliens, just before the launch of the spacecraft on which the hero intends to travel with the valuable payload to Earth. The player's task is to survive a few minutes of the attack and repel subsequent waves of opponents coming from all sides. During the game, the hero has no possibility to move around - the player can only look around by moving their head. In battles, it is essential to use the unique capabilities of the protagonist's suit. It is equipped not only with a time-slowing module but also with a gun shooting energy beams and a device generating special orbs - a hit with such a laser results in an impressive explosion, dealing damage to everyone in the vicinity.

Game modes

The core of ROM: Extraction is the basic variant of the game, called Normal. In addition, the game has implemented a more difficult module - Hard and Survival, in which we have to survive for as long as possible. Online rankings and a special mode, in which people in the room can watch the game from a top-down perspective, are a substitute for competition with other players.

Technical aspects

ROM: Extraction requires VR goggles and dedicated controllers to work. The game is characterized by high quality three-dimensional visuals, realized in futuristic stylistics. The gameplay is accompanied by music composed by Twin Moons.
