RPG Time: The Legend of Wright

RPG Time: The Legend of Wright is a colorful RPG set in a fantasy world created on a child's desk with pencil sketches, cardboard cutouts, and other everyday objects. Awarded and honored at industry events, the game is the debut project of Deskworks, an independent development studio from Japan. While deg the title, the creators were inspired by classic jRPG such as Dragon Quest.

Game mechanics

RPG Time: The Legend of Wright is an RPG in which we explore a fantasy world created in the sketchbook of a young artist fascinated by classic paper and console role-playing games. Players control the hero directly, moving him around the black and white locations presented from different perspectives. Sometimes we have to break fourth wall and use a pencil or eraser lying on the table to erase or draw some new element of the scenery. During the adventure we talk with a number of NPCs and fight with dangerous enemies. Duels are accompanied by various mini-games, such as using special attacks and items. The game can surprise us at every step, often changing the convention and graphics style.
