Rubicon: A Conspiracy of Silence is a narrative adventure game with a text-based storyline. It was developed by the Midnight Mood Studio team and published by La Belle Games. The source of inspiration for the creators were stories of real informers bringing to light various secrets.
The main heroine of Rubicon: A Conspiracy of Silence is Paula Cole. The protagonist works in an international corporation as a food safety specialist. Risking her lucrative job, the woman gradually assumes the role of an informer, delving deeper and deeper into the secrets of the company.
The gameplay in Rubicon: A Conspiracy of Silence is based on conversations with various characters. The protagonist exchanges text messages with her interlocutors and also talks with them in the conference room at her company's headquarters. Our actions and choices determine not only how much she learns, but also what information she provides to the online newspaper Mediapart. In addition, our decisions shape Paula's future.
In Rubicon: A Conspiracy of Silence we spend most of our time reading conversations conducted by the protagonist. Colorful illustrations showing, among others, the company headquarters and a conference room serve as a background.
