A platforming action game, set in a post-apocalyptic world belonging to anthropomorphic rabbits. In Rusty Rabbit we play as Stamp and we can control his mech. Our goal is to explore the ruins left by the human civilization, eliminating groups of enemies using a futuristic arsenal and destroying parts of the environment.
Rusty Rabbit is an action platforming game, set in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by anthropomorphic rabbits. The game was developed by the Japanese studio Nitro Plus.
In Rusty Rabbit we watch the action from the side. During the game, we play as a rabbit named Stamp, who takes control of his powerful mech - Junkster.
The protagonist jumps on platforms, swings over abysses (using a kind of energy rope), and also fights with enemies. In addition, the machine controlled by him can penetrate through some surfaces.
Stamp can eliminate enemies in close combat, using melee weapons, or at a distance, by firing from a futuristic arsenal. Laser cannons and rocket launchers are among available weapons. The protagonist faces both normal enemies and powerful bosses.
As we progress, we develop Stamp, unlocking new abilities and improving those already owned. Additionally, we are gradually modernizing our mech, making use of parts and materials obtained during adventures. All of this makes it possible for us to face increasingly greater challenges over time.
Rusty Rabbit takes us into the future and unfolds before us a vision of a world abandoned by humanity after the onset of another ice age. The place of people was taken by rabbits, including the so-called rust removers who study ancient ruins.
During one of such routine missions, a rust remover named Stamp comes across information suggesting that the ancient human world did not look like what the rabbits believe. To make matters worse, there are many indications that his daughter may be in danger. He has no choice but to follow his daughter's trail into the depths of the ruins to save her from oppression, while simultaneously uncovering the truth about the past.

Game Ratings for Rusty Rabbit Video Game.
Push Square: 7 / 10 by Ken Talbot
Rusty Rabbit is a standard Metroidvania that doesn't stray far from the formula, but surprises with lots of customisation and light social sim elements. It's worth playing for its protagonist alone (in the Japanese dub at least), a cute rabbit with the stern vocals of Kazama Kiryu.
Video Chums: 7.6 / 10 by A.J. Maciejewski
Rusty Rabbit is a cute and entertaining Metroidvania that offers such a unique and fresh experience that I found it hard to put down. However, if you're looking for more challenge and excitement then its laidback formula may not be for you. ??

Rusty Rabbit is a thoroughly enjoyable mech-hopping adventure. It blends quirky humour, heartfelt storytelling, and satisfying action in a way few games dare to. Yes, the cutscenes can break the pacing, and the Switch version isn’t flawless, but the charm and originality more than make up for it. If you’re looking for something that feels different, something that proves middle-aged rabbits (and gamers) still have plenty of kick left in them, this is one worth digging up. A free demo is also available on the eShop.
