Shoot'em up production, where we take control of a mechanical alchemist climbing to the top of his tower. The building was captured by an army of adversaries, so the primary element of the game is to eliminate them using magic missiles. We broaden our range of combat skills by collecting gold records containing new songs playing our struggle and unlocking the increasingly powerful skills associated with them.

Savant: Ascent is a shoot 'em up game developed by the independent team at D-Pad Studios.

Story

In Savant: Ascent we take on the role of a mechanical Alchemist, who tries to possess the power hidden in the magical sphere. When it dropped him from the top of his tower and filled it with dangerous enemies, the hero had no choice but to start a tedious journey to the top, clearing the enemies of the subsequent floors of the building.

Mechanics

The action of Savant: Ascent is observed from the side. The essence of the game is to defeat hordes of opponents using magical missiles and avoid their attacks. In the course of the game, we collect records that not only contain new songs playing during the game, but also unlock increasingly powerful combat skills that are associated with them.

Game modes

The basic mode of Savant: Ascent is Story Mode, the completion of which is a matter of several dozen minutes. Therefore, this mode can be regarded as a kind of tutorial and an introduction to the proper fun, which are the next two modules, i.e. Endless Mode and Time Attack. While in the first one we try to stay alive for as long as possible, beating successive score records, in the second one we fight for the best time result.

Technical aspects

Savant: Ascent's two-dimensional visuals adopt a cartoonish style. Separate mention should be made of the soundtrack composed by Norwegian artist DJ Savant.
