Scooby-Doo is a title that combines elements of a logical game, adventure game and not too complicated arcade game. In the course of the game, of course, we take control over the characters well known from the title cartoon. It should be mentioned, however, that the described production directly refers to the film with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rowan Atkinson and Matthew Lillard in the leading roles. It means first of all that the action of the game was set on the territory of Spooky Island. Our task is, in turn, to stop the ghosts on the island and to determine who controls them. Of course, for those who have seen the film, the presentation of subsequent elements of the plot will not be any surprise. The game is prepared by a development studio called Helixe, which has also developed such arcade games as Cars or The Incredibles.
In the course of the game, we are mainly involved in finding traces that can help the investigation. We also question the characters we meet. At the same time, it is worth noting that the game has a very linear course. This means that you have to follow all the steps you have set in order to move on to the next chapter. A detailed map has been made available to the player. You can also use numerous tips. From time to time, you will meet the ghosts and other creatures that you usually have to flee from. In addition, it is also possible to participate in simple mini-games, which usually require you to press the keys at the moment set by the game.
During the game we have an opportunity to direct each of the characters known from the cartoon. The main character can be changed at any time during the game. Initially, only Shaggy and Scooby are playable characters. More of the team have yet to be found. This is very important because these characters have been given specific skills. Fred can lift heavier objects, Daphne fights great, and Velma takes care of neutralizing safety systems. The game focuses on the cooperation of the whole team. Scooby-Doo visual luminaire presents an average level of workmanship. The action is observed in isometric projection. This game was created exclusively for a single player.
