Scrabble 2009 is a remade version of Ubisoft video game based on a very popular (especially in the USA) board game. In the main single player mode you play as a beginner Scrabblist who dreams of becoming a world champion. You play against more and more demanding opponents, until you reach your goal.
Of course, just as in the board version of the game, you have to create words from randomly selected letters. Each new word has to include at least one letter from the words already existing on the board. Each correct word is rewarded with an appropriate number of points, accordingly with the original scoring system, including special fields with bonuses. Words are being checked according with Collins Official Scrabble Dictionary. Obviously, the winner is the one with higher score.
This, however, is not all – you can also challenge other players via Internet, and if you get bored with traditional game of Scrabble and feel like a change, you can try your skills in two additional modes: Hold ‘Em and Tempest.
