Sea Legends: Phantasmal Lights is the work of the Russian Shaman Games studio, known for productions such as Hexus and Robin's Island Adventure. The game belongs to the popular HOPA genre, i.e. simple adventures addressed to the casual market audience (occasional players).

Sea Legends: Phantasmal Lights heroes are Jane and Mike, whose yacht sank during the storm. A pair of castaways ends up on an island full of dark secrets, but is separated. Guided by Jane's actions, the player must help the protagonist to look for his beloved and find a way to get out of the island.

The game is based on the mechanisms well known to casual adventure lovers. The basis of the game are puzzles such as "hidden objects", which require finding selected objects that have been cleverly camouflaged in the pictures. On the other hand, logical mini-games in the form of puzzles or uncomplicated puzzles are a variety.

As befits a multiplayer game, Sea Legends: Phantasmal Lights features an intuitively simple control system. The level of difficulty of individual tasks is not particularly difficult, and their solution should not cause major problems even to less experienced players.

In of workmanship, Shaman Games studio production does not deviate from HOPA standards. The artists used two-dimensional graphics with hand drawn backgrounds and simple animations. Noteworthy is the soundtrack, which fits well into the atmosphere of the story with a thrill.
