Seers Isle is a visual novel game created by a small French studio Nova-box, which released another project of this kind - Along the Edge.
The action of the game was set in a fantasy version of medieval northern Europe. A group of beginner shamans comes to the holy island, where they are supposed to become acquainted with magic. First, however, they must find in the wilderness their spiritual guides called Seers. It soon turns out that the seemingly deserted place hides various secrets and the main riddle - a horned woman haunting the characters in their dreams.
Visual novel games are characterized by a minimalist approach to gameplay. The main attraction is the story told, which you learn by reading the dialogues. In Seers Isle you follow the lives of several people, including the main character. When you play, you make a variety of choices - sometimes smaller and sometimes more important. Each decision affects the further course of the story and its ending. Therefore, the game encourages you to repeat your adventure and follow other paths.
Developers of Seers Isle were inspired by European comics, which can be seen, among other things, in the form of dialogues, reminiscent of classic "balloons". In addition, the graphic style of the game tries to refer to some of the European works. The developers prepared hundreds of hand-drawn illustrations for it. A dynamically changing soundtrack, which adapts to the choices you make and the mood prevailing during each scene, adds its three cents.
