Story

In Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun the action takes place in the chaotic 16th century on the Far East. Historical campaigns for single-player focus primarily on two events. The first of these is the Sengoku period. This term is used to describe a period in Japanese history that lasted from 1467 (or 1493) to 1573. It was then that the power of the shoguns, i.e. the military leaders of Japan, was decreasing, and the authority of feudal lords, the daimyo, was growing. Their constant struggle for influence led to numerous local wars. The second event, in which the players can take part in Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun is the so-called Imjin War, the Japanese invasion of Korea between 1592 and 1598, in which the Chinese Ming Dynasty was also engaged.
