Sensible Soccer: European Champions - 92/93 Edition

Sports game dealing with the subject of rivalry in football arenas - at one time one of the most popular representatives of the genre, liked mainly by the owners of Commodore Amiga computers. Initially, Sensible Software did not plan to create a PC conversion of its work - this one was created only a few months after the premiere of the original, parallel to its refreshed edition, available on all relevant platforms at that time. Although the product was officially called Sensible Soccer: European Champions - Season 92/93, it was adopted to be called Sensible Soccer v1.1. Such a title appeared on the start screen when the program was launched.

In Sensible Soccer the struggle of football players is observed from a bird's eye view, which is a typical solution for almost all football games from that period (Kick Off, MicroProse Soccer). Thanks to the large distance between the camera and the pitch and the small silhouettes of the players, the player is able to see a large part of the arena, which is of great importance during the construction of the action. The creators took into most of the rules applicable to real matches, including the giving of yellow and red cards by the referees for the offenses committed (in the basic version of the game there were no colored cards, they were added only in the Season 92/93 edition). The competition of virtual players is, of course, purely arcade, and the game itself is fast and a bit chaotic.
