The poor, however, live in extreme poverty, hunger, and sicknesses that make their lives short. You assume the role of Amy Wellard, a young woman infected with a deadly virus. She takes up work for the detested government, because only in this way she can participate in the vaccine lottery, in which the winner receives a cure for all deadly illnesses troubling people after the war. Knowing that winning is virtually impossible, she takes matters into her own hands in order to obtain the vaccine.
Shardlight released for PC is a classic, point-and-click adventure game. While playing you explore, talk, collect objects, and solve puzzles. These are quite tricky, but still logical. There is a special hint system for those, who are not very experienced. The game tests exclusively your intelligence and observation skills – there are no arcade challenges.
