Shovel Knight Dig

Mechanics

Shovel Knight Dig is a 2D platformer, but with a different style from Shovel Knight. The player travels deep underground all the time, digging through soil layers. Along the way, we regularly find ourselves in chambers filled with enemies and valuable objects.

During the game, the player must eliminate enemies, avoid traps and other threats, and accumulate loot. The system of development diversifies the fun. As the campaign progresses, we gain better and better equipment, which increases the hero's capabilities.

The authors prepared a large set of hand-designed sections. The engine merges them together randomly, creating a map of the game world, so you can go through the production many times without feeling bored.

Game modes

The Shovel Knight Dig has a single player mode only.

Technical aspects

The authors abandoned the 8-bit style of the predecessor. Instead, we get a Nitrome studio-typical retro binding that's more like what 16-bit consoles offered. It was made in full color cartoon style.
