Gameplay

Soulmask is a survival game with a third-person view. The game focuses on exploring the world, fighting for survival, and developing our own tribe. During the game, we traverse various regions (including the interiors of volcanoes, jungles, deserts, or snow-covered mountains), each of them characterized by different challenges, as well as unique fauna and flora.

A crucial aspect of the gameplay are the titular masks - with their help, we can take on the appearance of former heroes, as well as acquire their skills. Thanks to them, we are able to increase our archery skills, become invisible or dominate defeated opponents. The last of the mentioned abilities allows to recruit barbarians in order to make them of the tribe.

In Soulmask the entire community around us plays the role of the protagonist - this allows us to take control over our fellow tribesmen and develop them in various directions. In this way, we get specialists in hunting, stealth combat, and heavily armed warriors. They must face wild animals, hostile civilizations, and bosses with unique attributes. No less important are also experts in tanning hides, farming, gathering resources (wood, stone, minerals, etc.) or breeding animals (including mounts).

Many of the activities available in the game take place in our village, which we are gradually expanding. We can build defensive walls, set up traps, construct places to sleep and work, and create production chains. By doing so, we make the tribe's headquarters both a self-sufficient place and a difficult one to conquer for enemies inclined to carry out invasions.

Game modes

CampFire Studio's game was created for online fun in which up to seventy people can participate at the same time. Players can cooperate with each other, as well as compete for goods. Apart from multiplayer gameplay, Soulmask also offers a single player mode.
