Soulstice is a dynamic action RPG enriched with elements taken from slasher games. The game was developed by Reply Game Studios team, and it was published by Modus Games.
Soulstice takes us to a fantastic world plagued by the Phantoms - wild creatures coming from behind the veil. These creatures take over people's minds and transform them into bloodthirsty monsters. Only Chimeras, powerful warriors born from the merging of two souls in one body, can face them. When one such breach appeared above the city of Ilden, the brave sisters Briar and Lute decided to take matters into their own hands. As Chimera, they must face the threat, along the way discovering the dark secrets of their order, whose intentions are not as pure as they thought, and the origin of their powers.
In Soulstice we observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP). Moving around Ilden, we mainly eliminate our opponents. The game implements a combat system, which even a true slasher would be proud of. During quick clashes with adversaries we use superhuman strength and impressive skills of Briar, who fights with cold weapons and performs spectacular combos, as well as can change weapons on the fly. Besides, we have to use Lute's abilities, who as a ghost (the girl was sacrificed in the merging process) weakens enemies with the help of special auras. During the game we face both standard opponents and much stronger bosses. As we progress we gain more powerful weapons and improve the ones we already have, which allows us to face more and more challenges.
Soulstice has a polished graphic design, kept in a colorful, but at the same time quite dark style inspired by classical Japanese motifs. The voice of the main characters was lent by Stefani Joosten, known from the game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

IGN: 5 / 10 by Jarrett Green
Soulstice is a competent action game with creative monsters, but they're doomed to live in a bland setting with tedious level design.
Screen Rant: 4.5 / 5 by Jacob Zeranko
Thankfully, abilities and weapons like these become accessible in the mid-game and make later combat encounters much more manageable. Even then, Soulstice manages to maintain a good balance overall and while some hits may feel unfair, no fight ever ends that way. They all feel satisfying and exciting in a way that motivates the player to continue towards the next one. The moments of exploration between fights also encourages players to take in the stunning art design of the world and Briar's armor and weaponry, which look like they're lifted straight from the pages of Berserk; but this only scratches the surface of Soulstice. This is a challenging, beautiful, and engrossing game with a ton to offer and shouldn't be ed over.
God is a Geek: 7 / 10 by Mick Fraser
Soulstice is a competent hack and slasher with a solid core concept and an interesting world history that remains somewhat under-explored.
