A tactical action game in which we lead a two-person branch of American rankings, performing various missions in different parts of the world. One of the distinguishing elements of production is the cooperation mode for two players on a split screen.
Prepared by Runecraft, the game is the next installment of the Spec Ops series of tactical action games, the first installment of which was released in 1998. The title is based on proven genre formula, distinguishing itself by the implementation of a co-op mode for two people.
The players take control of a small special forces unit, which undertakes a number of missions in various regions of the world, including Russia, Iraq, North Korea, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Before each task, the player selects two of the five available with different skills and specializations. The right choice of team composition is important and influences the way of achieving the objective. Depending on our tactics, we can perform individual tasks in different ways, using a number of routes on open maps designed by Runecraft. Among the prepared missions, there are some that demand silent actions wile others force direct confrontations with enemies.
A single player can control two selected soldiers, switching between them manually or giving orders to the companion using a simple command system. If we play in co-op on split-screen, each of the two players takes control of a different member of the unit.
The devs of Spec Ops: Stealth Patrol designed the game using 3D graphics, simple level designs and texture devoid of many details. In return, they provided large maps. The advantages of the game are a realistic array of weapons and equipment, which can be used by the soldiers, as well as well recorded sounds of shots, different for individual rifles, shotguns and pistols.
