Speed in Russia: Need for Russia II is a racing game produced by the K-Tech Development Team, which is the second installment of the series started in 2007. Players have the opportunity to drive 7 legendary Russian cars and take part in the drivers' struggles on thirteen routes.
Only a year and a half it took the K-Tech Development Team to prepare the continuation of the racing game Need for Russia: Greatest Cars from CC. Developers decided to remain faithful to the Soviet and Russian motorization, increasing only the variety of available cars and rally routes.
In Speed in Russia: Need for Russia II players again have the opportunity to play the role of drivers taking part in races on the roads of Eastern Europe. This time, there are seven models of cars that you can sit behind the wheel: GAZ Wolga 21, Moskwicz 2140, UAZ 452D, Lada 2105, Lada Niva and a more modern construction - Lada Kalina. Each of the vehicles is available in two tuning versions, which is an additional variety.
The driving model used in the game is devoid of simulation elements, which, according to the designers' assumptions, is supposed to provide more fun. Career mode offers the opportunity to take part in thirty races held on 13 routes marked out, among others, on the streets of the city, track and off-road.
The visuals in Speed in Russia: Need for Russia II are based on a modified graphic engine previously used e.g. in the game Maluch Racer 2. Unfortunately, the possibilities of this technology are very different from the contemporary standards of the genre, which can be clearly seen in the quality of car models or the appearance of the track environment.
