Mechanics

The action in Spelunky 2 is observed from the side perspective. The core of the gameplay is exploration of randomly generated caves, in which you can find not only the above mentioned treasures, but also countless traps and dangerous enemies (apart from bats and spiders, you will also find, e.g. the legendary yeti or ghosts). From time to time you can also meet some less fortunate explorers who may require your help.

The protagonist is not defenseless - we can use various tools like ropes and bombs. In addition to that, the character can also use guns or artefacts found along the way, which provide supernatural abilities. It is worth noting that while some items can be found or purchased, others must be crafted.
