Specialized Transport Simulator 2013 is a simulation game, which allows the player to try his hand as a driver of vehicles carrying bulky loads. The title was created by German studio ToxSickLabs on behalf of Astragon, a company specializing in this kind of productions.
The 2013 Specialist Transport Simulator is one of the most popular genre of simulation of work with heavy mechanical equipment. This time, developers from ToxSickLabs studio decided to introduce players to the backstage of the work of truck drivers carrying gigantic loads.
As the title suggests, the game allows you to try your hand at the wheel of vehicles used in specialist transport. A total of 5 car models - two vans and three tractor units - were made available to the players. The latter can be attached to many different types of trailers (including, for example, wind turbine construction elements, construction machines and even yachts).
The game consists in performing missions in which the aim is to transport the cargo safely and as quickly as possible along the marked route. Transport is carried out using, among other things, motorway connections and major arteries, but also on much more challenging local roads, narrow city streets and often unpaved "access roads".
As in many games of this kind, the control system in the Specialized Transport Simulator 2013 has been greatly simplified. However, the player has to cope not only with the basic laws of Newtonian physics, but also with changing road conditions (e.g. rainfall), which influence the behaviour of the vehicle and the load being towed.
From the technical side, the game is based on the C4 Engine, which was also used in previous productions of ToxSickLabs studio (e.g. Bridge Construction Simulator). Noteworthy is the option of "leaving" the vehicles and freely exploring the area with a view from the first person perspective (FPP).
